

Muslims to Celebrate on Friday 6th and Monday 9th June
The Federal Government of Nigeria has officially declared Friday, 6th June and Monday, 9th June 2025 as public holidays to commemorate this yearβs Eid-ul-Adha celebration.
This announcement was made by the Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, on behalf of the Federal Government. He extended warm congratulations to all Muslim faithful across Nigeria and the diaspora, encouraging them to reflect on the spirit of sacrifice and obedience exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim (Peace Be Upon Him).
β¨ A Call for Unity and Prayer
The Minister urged the Muslim community and all Nigerians to use this sacred period to pray for national peace, unity, and prosperity. He emphasized that the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubuβs administration is being driven by people-centered reforms aimed at restoring Nigeriaβs dignity and development.
ποΈ Celebration With Purpose
While wishing the Muslim Ummah a joyful Eid celebration, Dr. Tunji-Ojo encouraged citizens to show solidarity by supporting government efforts to move the nation forward.
“Let us embrace the values of sacrifice, faith, and commitment to national growth,” he stated.
