2025 UTME Resit Results Are Out! Here’s How Candidates Can Check Their Scores via SMS
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has officially released the results of candidates who participated in the rescheduled 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). Over 379,000 students were affected and re-sat the exam following technical and human-related issues during the original testing period.
The decision to conduct a resit came after numerous complaints, particularly from candidates in Lagos and South-East Nigeria, who reported significant disruptions during their initial exam sessions. JAMB acknowledged the glitches and promptly responded by organizing a make-up UTME to ensure fairness and accuracy in the admission process.
How to Check Your 2025 JAMB UTME Result via SMS
Candidates who took part in the rescheduled UTME can now check their results through a simple SMS method. Here’s how:
Use the Registered Phone Number
Send the SMS from the same mobile number you used during your JAMB registration.Compose the SMS Correctly
Type:UTMERESULT— in all uppercase and without spaces.Send to the Right Code
Send the message to 55019 or 66019.Ensure You Have Airtime
You must have at least ₦50 airtime on your SIM, as the SMS will incur a fee.Wait for the Reply
You’ll receive a response shortly, either containing your UTME result or an update on your status.
