Has JAMB Started Giving Admission To 2023 UTME/DE Candidates?

Many candidates recently have been asking if JAMB has started giving admission to 2023 UTME/DE candidates. The admission process has already commenced as JAMB has enabled the JAMB CAPS portal for the 2023/2024 admission exercise.

So, to clear your doubt, YES! The JAMB admission process has commenced for 2023 UTME/DE candidates. The JAMB CAPS portal for 2023 admission has been activated. Some schools that have concluded their Post-UTME screening exercise have already made their admission lists available both on JAMB CAPS and on the school’s portal. So we hereby advise all 2023 UTME/DE candidates are advised to monitor their admission status on JAMB CAPS especially those that their schools of choice have concluded the Post-UTME screening exercise.

Please note that JAMB can only give you admission after your school has recommended you for admission. So after your school must have concluded Post-UTME/Admission screening for 2023, the next is the release of the admission list. Remember that such admission must go through JAMB and be uploaded on JAMB CAPS to be valid.

Like we stated earlier, all admission seekers for the 2023 session should closely monitor their JAMB CAPS to know when JAMB has finally given them admission. We will provide you with steps on how to access your JAMB CAPS and check your admission status in due course.

Please note that JAMB will only consider candidates who have uploaded their results. All prospective JAMB candidates are advised to ensure their O’level results are uploaded on the JAMB website before the admission deadline of their various schools in order to be considered or recommended for admission. Also to be considered for admission, candidates are required to proceed to any JAMB CBT Centre and ensure they make the school they are seeking admission in their first choice institution.

We will publish guidelines on how to access the JAMB CAPS and keep you updated with the admission process.
